Egypt is Amazing

Have you ever been degutted and cleaned in salt then wrapped in hundreds of yards of gauze? Sounds gross I know. That is what happened to the pharaohs in ancient Egypt. After they died they went through a process called mummification, and that is pretty much what happened to them. I know I don’t want to be a pharaoh in Egypt. Although it is home to the Nile and the delta. Also those huge pyramids. That would be quiet a sight.
The geography of Egypt was hot and sandy. Egypt is located in Africa in the top right hand side. It is right next to the Mediterranean Sea. It is also home to the Nile Delta. The Nile flooded yearly which was good and bad. It made the land fertile but it flooded all the crops. The Nile branches out into the delta. The delta flows into the Mediterranean Sea.
The pyramids of Egypt are very important to Egypt. They are tombs for the pharaohs after they died. The pyramids have tons and tons of trap doors and passageways. All of them led to nowhere. All accept one. One led to a pharaoh’s tomb. The tomb was filled with wonderful treasures. There are around 40 pyramids in Egypt. Each pyramid held around 1,000 – 1,000,000 stones and each stone weighs 2-3 tons.
There were three very important pharaohs in Egypt. The three important pharaohs are Hatshepsuit, Menes, and Tutankhamen. Hatshepsuit was the first female pharaoh. Menes united lower and upper Egypt and made the double crown. Tutankhamen was the first pharaoh we found that still had all his treasure. King Tut was also the youngest pharaoh ruling at only ten years old. We also don’t know how he died. It is a mystery. Pharaohs had all power. They were known as half man half god. The pharaohs of Egypt were worshiped.
Pharaohs are very cool and those pyramids are the piece that completes Egypt. The geography is nice too. That is if you live near the Nile. I would love to live near the Delta because I would have the best farming land ever. Egypt is very cool and I think it is awesome!
